Radon Diagnostic Services can help ensure that your family is free from the hazards associated with radon exposure. There are two approaches to mitigating residences: indoor and outdoor.

Indoor Mitigation

In most cases, mitigation can be handled by installing PVC pipe in out-of-sight areas such as closets and plumbing chases.

We begin by creating one or more holes in the basement floor. We then connect PVC pipe to the hole(s) and extend the pipe up through the house to a vent pipe in the roof. We also install a radon fan inside the pipe. The result is that the radon is safely and unobtrusively routed from the ground up through the vent in the roof.

Outdoor Mitigation

In some cases, indoor mitigation is impractical, so we instead handle it by installing PVC pipe in unobtrusive spots such as alongside a chimney.

We begin by creating one or more holes in the basement floor. We then connect PVC pipe to the hole(s) and extend the pipe through an exterior wall and up the side of the house. We also install a radon fan inside the pipe as well as a weatherproof electrical connection for it. The result is that the radon is safely and unobtrusively routed from the ground out through the wall to the roof.
